Tom and I finally made this event last year for the first time. I’m hoping to make it again this year too if at all possible. It’s great fun and really celebrated the day.
Arnold’s has become an Opening Day tradition in its own right. As always we have a ton of fun stuff going on for the big day. On Thursday, May 5th the parade starts a little later but we are still opening at 9am for breakfast. Here is a list of what we have going on….
-Arnold’s hosting a sing-a-long of sorts with piano man Todd Hepburn. Lyrics sheets will be provided for people who want to join in.
-Random drawing for a authentic Pete Rose autographed regulation Baseball Bat to be given away on site before the game.
-”Casey at the Bat” performed live by Jeremy Dubin of the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company
-Jim Tarbell dressed as Peanut Jim Shelton playing the Mouth Harp
-Prizes written on the bottom of random Hudy Delight cans. Tons of autographed Reds baseball cards, Hudy swag and more.
-Breakfast served from 9-11
-Free Hot Dogs from 1-4
