This is the first of three posts on the new tasting rooms opening up at various breweries in Cincinnati. Today is Mt. Carmel, tomorrow is Listermann & Triple Digit and Thursday is Rivertown. Enjoy!
We stopped in at the new Mt. Carmel Brewery tap room a couple of weeks ago. Mike Dewey was busy hooking up the lines for the draft system, but Patrick was ready behind the bar to serve us some great Mt. Carmel bottled beers. (Catch their Springtime Ale if you haven’t had it yet, though their Summer is one of our favorites too). The lines are hooked up now and the beer is flowing.
The public hours for the new tap room are Monday through Saturday from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Pints are $4.00, 4 oz. tastings are $1 and all of their bottles are $3.50 each. Growlers are $6.99 for the refill and $9.99 if you need to purchase one of their growlers. Porch Packs, cases, and six-packs are still available at the same retail price as before.
The brewery tour begins at 1:00 PM. Since space is limited, be sure to give them a call at 513-240-BREW or email them at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot. Even without being officially open yet, they are already reaching capacity on the tours very quickly. Call or email to let them know you’re coming or you might get left in the tasting room!
In addition, there will be a Grand Opening/Tapping Party this Thursday 6:00-9:00 pm at the brewery. More information is forthcoming. We will pass it along when we get it.
