With July being the celebration of both American and Belgian independence, we’ll examine three distinct styles from each country. In the case of the Belgians, we’ll also explore how one small American brewery approaches the Belgian styles! Behold:
American IPA – Brew Kettle “White Rajah” AND Stone Brewing “RuinTen”
American Amber – North Peak “Siren” AND MadTree “Happy Amber”
American Brown Ale – Mt. Carmel’s Nut Brown Ale AND MadTree “Gnarly Brown”
Saison / Farmhouse – De Glazen Toren d’Epre Mere Imperial White AND Rockmill Brewery Saison (American)
Dubbel – Chimay Grande Reserve AND St. Bernardus Prior 8
Tripel – Tripel Karmeliet AND Rockmill Brewery Tripel (American)
We’ll have specially selected food pairings with each category. Admission is $10. Again, the School will be held at the Mason Jar Pub, and space is limited!

Six drafts, six bites, $6. This week’s beers are Anchor Zymaster Series #4 Farmhouse Ale, Goose Island 25th Anniversary Ale, North Peak Siren Amber Ale, Founders Brewing Centennial IPA, MadTree Gnarly Brown Ale and Uinta Dubhe Imperial Black IPA with Hemp Seeds.

Wednesday, July 3rd – Wiede Wednesday at Pompilio’s
Every Wednesday is Wiede Wednesday at Pompilio’s in Newport with $3 Wiedemann pints all day.

Wednesday, July 3rd at 5:00 pm – Rhinegeist Brewery Launch Party at The Famous Neons Unplugged. Eli’s BBQ will be running the grill for the first time.

Wednesday, July 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 pm – Take Home the Glass Night OR Abbey Wednesday at Taste of Belgium
And sometimes, it’s a tapping! We’ll let you know which one it is this week as soon as we find out.

Wednesday, July 3rd from 5:30 to 8:00 pm – Beer Tasting at Marty’s Hops and Vines

Thursday, July 4th at 6:00-10:00 pm – Pint Night Thursdays at Cock & Bull (all three locations)
The beers for this week’s Pint Night Thursdays are: Main Strasse Covington – Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen, Glendale – Franziskaner and Hyde Park – Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen.

Thursday, July 4th at 6:00 pm – Firkin Tapping at Rock Bottom Brewery

Thursday, July 4th from 9:00 pm to close – $3 Thursdays at Roebling Point Bars (Molly Malone’s Covington, Keystone Covington, Blinkers, Sidebar)
All of the bars have their own list of their selected appetizers and beers (taps change weekly).

Friday, July 5th – $7 Growler Fills at Moerlein Lager House

Friday, July 5th at 5:30 pm – Beer and Wine Tasting at Everything’s d’ Vine
$10 per person to taste five beers and four wines. $5 to taste just beer or just wine.

Friday, July 5th from 6:00-7:00 pm – Friday Night Flights Beer Tasting at Party Town in Florence

Friday, July 5th at 6:30 pm – Christian Moerlein Beer & BBQ Cruise on BB Riverboats

Christian Moerlein Brewery and BB Riverboats have teamed up for a great cruise every Friday this summer. Cruise the beautiful Ohio River on one while tasting Moerlein’s handcrafted lagers & ales with a member of the Christian Moerlein team. Paired with the beers is a wonderful buffet featuring BBQ Brisket, BBQ Chicken and Pulled Pork BBQ. Music will be provided by a local area band for your entertainment.

Cost is $55.00 for adults and $38.00 for children. Go to http://www.bbriverboats.com/moerlein_cruise.html to purchase tickets.

Saturday, July 6th from 5:00-8:00pm – Beer Tasting at Ludlow Wines
The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

    You have one typo on here. The Rhinegeist Neon’s Launch Party is on Wednesday, not Tuesday. You should also mention that the party includes the launch of Eli’s BBQ setting up shop on the grill there!
