You may have noticed in our weekly “This Week in Beer” post, that Firehouse Grill in Blue Ash hosted its first beer tasting dinner featuring MadTree Brewing this past Monday night. They let us know that the turnout was “amazing” and that their next scheduled local beer dinner featuring Rhinegeist Brewery “only has 20 seats left!” As they put it, “It is great to witness the growth of Cincinnati’s craft beer movement first hand.”
Here’s a bit more information on the upcoming beer dinners they have scheduled:
The dinners feature a four course meal paired with 4 beer samples. A team from UC Blue Ash filmed the event to be included in a documentary on the growth of local craft beer. Key moments of the night included Madtree founders explaining their humble beginnings as home brewers and tireless testing to perfect their product for market. Chef Dennis of the Firehouse Grill created each course to pair with the beer being tasted. For example a spicy glaze on the shrimp paired with the bite of a hoppy MadTree PsycHOPathy vinaigrette and blue cheese on the potato skins played against the sweetness of the MadTree Happy Amber.
Spots are still available for the remaining 5 beer tasting dinners hosted at the Firehouse Grill. The four-course dinners are $35 per person and include tax and gratuity.
