Short Hops (Growlers and Tastings edition): December 11, 2009

● At this week’s Friday Night Flights at Party Town in Florence, they will be opening “a surprise line up of brews with the theme: Things We Drink When It’s Cold outside.” Remember that the cost for the regular tasting is $2 for a full flight of beers and it goes from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.

● At this week’s Cork ‘N Bottle beer tastings, they will feature at Covington: On the growler station: Christian Moerlein Christkindl, Schlafly Coffee Stout, Cork ‘n Brew, Schlafly ESB/Goose Island Mild Winter and in bottles Friday and Saturday: St. Peters Winter Ale and Boulder Beer Mojo. At the Buttermilk Pike location, on the growler station: Bell’s Winter White, Schlafly Coffee Stout, Cork ‘n Brew Ale, Rogue Mocha Porter and in bottles Friday and Saturday: New Holland Cabin Fever and Mad Hatter. The tastings at both locations are from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Fridays and from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Saturdays. Cost is $1 for 6 to 8 beers.

● On the Growler Station at Party Town in Florence: Rye 75 Rye IPA, Left Hand Fade to Black, Great Lakes Christmas Ale, Goose Island Bourbon County, Dogfish World Wide, BBC Quad
