● At this week’s Friday Night Flights at Party Town in Florence, they will be joined by BBC owner/founder Pat Hagan and brewer Sam Cruz. They will be running coldplates with BBC brews: ’03 Barleywine, 07′ GABF gold medal winning Baltic Porter, Ebeneezer Christmas Ale, Wormwood Triple, ’06 Bourbon Barrel Russian Imperial Porter, ’04 Russian Imperial Porter, and more, all available for tasting and growler fills. And the guys at Party Town are promising that there “will be a special surprise for the beer geeks out there.” On the growler station they will be tapping Stone 13th Anniversary Ale, Sierra Nevada/Dogfish Head Life and Limb, Dogfish Head World Wide Stout, BBC Brandy Barrel Aged Queens Knickers, Rogue Old Crustacean Barleywine, and more. Remember that the cost for the regular tasting is $2 for a full flight of beers and this one goes from 6:00 until whenever.
● At this week’s Cork ‘N Bottle beer tastings, at Covington on Friday, it’s the Goose lsland tasting featuring Bourbon County Stout, Matilda, Christmas Ale, Pere Jacques, Sofie and 312. There’s no tasting Saturday at the Covington location. At the Buttermilk Pike location, on Friday, it’s a New Holland Beer tasting featuring Mad Hatter IPA, Log Cabin Brown Ale and the High Gravity Series. On Saturday, it’s Holiday Beers feat. Rogue Santa’s Private Reserve, Delerium Noel, Schlafly Christmas, St. Peters Winter Ale, and many more. The tastings at both locations are from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Fridays and from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Saturdays. Cost is $1 for 6 to 8 beers.
