You’ve already heard us talk about the Hyde Park Craft Beer Symposia coming Monday July 19th starting at 4:00 pm. We bought our tickets as soon as they came out. Well, we just got a hold of the beer list and it is amazing! Here is your chance to finally taste rare beers like Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout. Just check out this list!
The beers being featured and their respective presenters/position:
Left Hand: Chainsaw (Double Sawtooth) (American Strong Ale); *Nitro* Milk Stout (Sweet Stout). Presentation by Michael Walters (Midwest Sales Manager).
Stone Brewing Co.: 14th Anniversary Emperial Ale; Second Beer TBA. Presentation by Jay Ashmore (Regional Representative).
Lexington Brewing Co.: Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale (American Strong Ale); Kentucky Light (Kolsh). Presentation by Ken Lee (Brewmaster).
Unibroue: Trois Pistoles (Belgian Strong Ale); Ephemere Apple (Fruit Beer). Presentation by Jay Jones (Regional Manager).
Thirsty Dog: Cerberus 10 Dog Ale (Abbey Trippel); 12 Dogs of Christmas (Christmas Beer). Presentation by John Najeway (Owner)
Flying Dog: Oak Aged Gonzo (Imperial Porter); Second Beer TBA. Presentation on barrel aging presented by Matt Brophy (Vice President of Brewing)
Founder’s: 2010 Canadian Breakfast Stout (Imperial Stout); 2010 Black Biscuit (Old Ale); Devil Dancer Triple IPA (Imperial IPA). Presentation on finding balance in aggressive beers presented by John Host (Regional Manager).
Bell’s: Poolside Cherry Wheat (Wheat Ale); Second beer TBA. A Sensory Education will be presented by Veronica Sanders (Regional Manager) and Gary Nicholas (President of Quality Control).
BrewKettle: Tunguska Imperial Stout; Second Beer TBA. Presenter TBA.
Dark Horse: Sapient Trip Ale (Abbey Tripel); R.O.D. (Amber Ale brewed with aphrodisiac herbs). Presenter TBA
Victory: Hop Wallop (Imperial IPA); Second Beer TBA. Presentation by Cameron Russell.
Great Lakes: Beers TBA. Presentation by Lisa Farmer (Regional Manager).
Smuttynose: Big A IPA (Imperial IPA); Rouge d’Shire (Sour Ale). Presentation by Bob Gera.
Sierra Nevada: 30th Anniversary Charlie, Fred & Ken Bock (Helles Bock); Summerfest (Premium Lager). Presentation by Lee Hill.
Brooklyn *extra brewery*: Beers TBA; no presentation.
As you can see, throughout the evening the breweries will hold individual seminars discussing their respective brewery. Ticket price is $50. But, if you purchase your ticket before July 1st extended to July 5th, it will be just $40. A purchased ticket gets you an event wristband, an event sample glass, and, of course, samples throughout the evening. Everyone is a VIP as there are only 300 tickets available! Select appetizers and bar fare food will be available for purchase.
