As Polly Campbell pointed out on her blog, we seem to be in the middle of beer dinner season. We just heard about three more for next week. The first one is Tuesday, November 16th at 6:00 pm and is a Belgian Beer Dinner at Otto’s in Covington.
Featuring Belgium’s Finest Selections with “Beer Dave” Gausepohl and the Cuisine of Chef Paul Weckman. Join us for an exclusive evening of exciting flavor as we pair Chef Paul’s seasonal fare with Belgium’s exciting variety of brews. We’ll be pouring everything from Trappist Ales to Saison to a Triple or two. Local Guru, “Beer Dave,” will be walking us through the many styles of Belgian Beer that make this small country, a mighty player in the World of Beer. The evening’s cuisine will be prepared by Otto’s creator and Chef, Pail Weckman. Using the freshest and best ingredients from local farmers, his signature inviting dishes combine the best of traditional and fresh for a satisfying culinary experience. The second beer dinner is at one of our favorite spots, Teller’s of Hyde Park, on Wednesday, November 17th at 6:30 pm and it features Stone Vertical Epic Ales.
This event cannot be missed! Chef Jeremy Luers will perfectly pair courses with each of the last 7 Stone Vertical Epic Ales. These beers are extremely rare and have been carefully cellared. The menu will be released shortly at www.tellersofhydepark.com. This dinner will feature Stone 04/04/04 Vertical Epic Ale THRU Stone 10/10/10 Vertical Epic Ale and Jay Ashmore from Stone Brewing Co. will be on hand to discuss each vintage of the series. For $120 plus tax and gratuity, each guest will receive a specially crafted Stone Vertical Epic Ale glass. This event requires an RSVP as space is limited. The third one is Thursday, November 18th at 7:00 pm and is a Beer Dinner at Vito’s Cafe in Fort Thomas. This dinner will pair four courses with their own in-house beers from Red Ear Brewing including Red October Ale and Big Al’s Nut Brown Ale. The cost is $30 per person.
