Tickets are now on sale for the 17th Annual Southern Brewers Festival on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 2pm – midnight on the Chattanooga Riverfront in Chattanooga, TN. The brewpub chain Big River Grille and Brewing Works sponsors this event to raise funds for Chattanooga’s Kids on the Block. According to their website, the SBF “consists of 30 microbreweries from across the Southeast, and welcomes over 10,000 patrons for a day of fun, festivities, food, and beer on the Riverfront. The event features over 75 premium ales and lagers and live music.” The main act for the music this year is Los Lobos.
General admission tickets are $20 (includes a commemorative mug and one beer token). Additional beer tokens are $3 each. We recommend buying the VIP/Party on the Pier tickets ($75.00 for single or $125.00 for a couple). These tickets include all access to the Party on the Pier out over the river, complimentary food & beer from Big River Grille & Brewing Works, a commemorative mug, one beer token and preferred seating for band viewing. These always sell out so buy yours now.
Also, line up your hotel room now too. The hotels within easy walking distance have been booked up for months, but there is a shuttle that can take you to and from the event from many of the downtown hotels.
