Local breweries to be featured in NBC’s “Harry’s Law”

We told you a couple of weeks ago that Arnold’s Bar & Grill had been chosen as a regular location for the David E. Kelley series “Harry’s Law” that starts its second season September 21st on NBC. According to Polly Campbell’s story in the Enquirer that day, the producers are making more of an effort this season to make the series location seem less generic and more identifiably Cincinnati. They’ve gone so far as to contact three local breweries, Listermann’s, Mt. Carmel and Christian Moerlein, to get permission to show their logos and obtain brewery-related paraphernalia to decorate the set being constructed in Hollywood.

“It’s very exciting,” said Mt. Carmel’s Co-Owner Kathleen Dewey. “We’re happy to be participating.” Dan Listermann says that viewers should look for a Listermann neon sign as well as tap handles and t-Shirts. Christian Moerlein’s entire range of brands will be included on the set, including Little Kings, Hudepohl Amber Lager and Schoenling.

Jason Roeper of Rivertown Brewing says they were never contacted. With any luck, that oversight will be corrected very soon.

What an awesome opportunity for Cincinnati Beer! It would be a shame to leave Rivertown out of the mix.
