SPECIAL EVENTS

Urban Artifact – CAN Release Party Friday, Dec. 9th at 4:00 pm – The initial launch will include Finn (Berliner Pale Ale) and Sliderule (Chocolate Raspberry Gose).

Rivertown Brewing – Santa Claus will be stopping by this Sunday from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. We happen to know that Kris Kringle loves craft beer so you can take your kids to see Santa and then share a beer with the man in red.

TASTINGS

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are pouring beers from Rhinegeist at Fairfield and from The Brew Kettle at Eastgate.

Party Source – $1 beer tastings on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they’re pouring from Against the Grain. It’s $2.00 for the regular sample flights. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

TAPPINGS and RELEASES

Cappy’s Wine and Spirits – Rhinegeist tapping Saturday at 5:00 pm.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night and they will be pouring Marz Liquid Dreams. The price is $6 for a ten ounce snifter.

The Lackman – 12 Days of Dogfish Head starts today. They will be featuring a different beer each day. Check out their Facebook event page for the complete list.

The Pub at Rookwood Mews – Release party for their Fifty West collaboration beer Pond Hopper IPA.

Tastings and Tappings Report: Dec. 18, 2015

BOTTLE RELEASE

Arnold’s Bar & Grill – MadTree bottle release and tap takeover Saturday from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. See our earlier post for more information.

Listermann Brewing – Barrel Aged White Death Bottle Release, Growler Sale and Canned Food Drive on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. This year’s version of White Death has been aged in Willet Rye Whiskey Barrels and the cost is $15 a bottle. You can get a $1 off (up to $3) each bottle with canned food item. So, if you want to buy three bottles, you can bring in nine canned goods and get each bottle for $12. You can also get $1 off per each canned good you bring in on growlers, up to $3 each. Regular White Death will be an $8 growler fill all day.

Mt. Carmel Brewing – Releasing their Ice Cream Stout in 22 ounce bombers on Saturday at 1:00 pm.

TASTINGS

Dean’s Hops and Vines – Goose Island Tap Take Over from 4:00-9:00 pm tonight. Beers on draft include Four Star Pils, Lolita, Fulton St. Blend, Winter, The Muddy, Goose IPA and Odgen.

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are pouring no specific brewery’s beers in Fairfield and beers from Alltech in Eastgate.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, it’s their annual Against The Grain Backroom Brawl. Beers include Bo & Luke, 70K, Bourbon Barrel Aged Big Brown, Massage a Mystic: Earth, Gogi Berry Sour, Chocolate Truffle and more including a mystery “Randalled” beer. Draft by the glass will be $4.00. The cost for the flight is $2.00 per person. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

Braxton Brewing – Snow Shovel Winter Warmer tapping tonight at 5:00 pm. Then it’s their monthly Firkin Friday at 5:30 pm. The firkin is Blown Gasket Robust Porter with candy canes.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night AND they will be tapping Against the Grain Raucho Man Brandy Savage. Pints for $5 for a ten ounce snifter.

Liberty’s Bar and Bottle – Tapping Three Floyds Zombie Dust at 2:00 pm today.

The brewers at MadTree are known for their beards. This Movember, they are raising money for Movember Cincinnati, a local group that creates awareness for men’s health issues and raises vital funds to combat prostate and testicular cancers. The more money they raise, the more beards that are shaved live at this event. You can donate at the YouCaring website and then watch the beards get shaved off.

Monday, Nov. 2nd at 5:00 pm – Rare Keg Monday at Ei8ht Ball Brewing
This week, it’s Avery Pumpkin. The cost is $12 for a ten ounce snifter (limit of one per person).

Monday, Nov. 2nd at 6:00 pm – Beer of the Month Tapping at Moerlein Lager House
This month, it’s King Pin Classic cream ale. A dollar from every Beer of the Month sold will be donated to the DAV 5K along with 100% of the proceeds from the ceremonial keg.

Wednesday, Nov. 4th at 6:00 pm – Moerlein T-Bird Hop Harvest Ale Can Launch and Firkin Tapping at Christian Moerlein Malt House
Tap Lineup Additions include Eleven/162 – Bourbon Barrel Aged Scotch Wee Heavy; Shiver – Chai Spiced Porter; Lime-Bird: T-Bird Infused with fresh Lime; and Stuffed-Bird: T-Bird infused with Cranberries, Rosemary, and Sage.

Wednesday, Nov. 4th at 6:30 pm – New Belgium Beer Dinner at the Celestial
Seven course meal with beer pairings. This is the Celestial’s first ever beer dinner. Cost is $75 per person. The menu is available on their Facebook Event Page. Make your reservations on OpenTable.

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. Unfortunately, they recently updated their website and no longer list what beers they are pouring for the tastings as of yet. Hopefully, that will change soon.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week (8/14) from 5:30-7:00 pm, it’s beers from Dauntless Distributing. The draft by the glass pours will include Evil Twin From Amager With Love Blueberry Imperial Stout, Evil Twin Even More Jesus, Against the Grain Kentucky Ryed Chiquen and Against the Grain’s elusive 70k. Nine ounce pours are $4.00 each. The cost for the flight is $2.00 per person. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights.

Jungle Jim’s Fairfield – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. For this week’s tasting (7/3), it’s Fifty West. Beers include Penny Pilsner, Nitro Coffee Please Stout, Doom Pedal White, Border Crossing Pale Ale, Coast to Coast IPA and Barrel Aged Home Sweet Home. Pints are usually $3.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week (7/3) from 5:30-7:00 pm, it’s 450 North Brewing, Atwater and some beers from their own in-house brewery Mash Cult. Draft by glass is $3.00 and the cost for the flight is $2.00 per person. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight (7/3) is Free Bacon Night AND they will be tapping Against the Grain 70K (13+% ABV Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout). Cost is $7 for a ten ounce snifter.

– For Saturday’s Randall Saturday (7/4), it’s To Ol Mr. White Double IPA Randalled through peaches. Cost is $10 for a ten ounce snifter.

– For next week’s Rare Keg Monday (7/6), it’s Three Floyds Cimmerian Sabertooth Berzerker. Cost is $8 for a ten ounce snifter.
