10th Annual Cincy Winter Beerfest – Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening at the Convention Center. Be sure to buy your tickets in advance. This event frequently sells out, especially the Connoisseur Level tickets. Also, Designated Drivers tickets are not sold at the door. Buy them now.

Cincy Winter Beerfest After Party – Friday night at 11:00 pm at Queen City Exchange. Featuring beers from Braxton including Storm Golden Cream Ale, Crank Shaft IPA, Spotlight White IPA, Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout, and Jumpstart Brown Ale brewed with Bourbon Barrel-Aged Starter Coffee.

Cincy Winter Beerfest Happy Hour – Saturday at 5:00 pm at Knockback Nat’s.

DEP’s Fine Wine and Spirits – Braxton tasting Friday at 5:00 pm. Beers include Storm Golden Cream Ale, Dead Blow Tropical Stout, Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip Milk Stout, Spotlight White IPA, and Tropic Flare Imperial IPA.

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are pouring beers from Kona Brewing at Fairfield and from Green Flash at Eastgate.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they’re pouring from Laguinitas. They are promising a nice spread of bottles and two special drafts: Willett Barrel aged Imperial Stout and Fusion XXXIX IPA.It’s $2.00 for the regular sample flights. TASTINGS

DEP’S in Fort Thomas will be hosting a Stone tasting on Saturday, August 9th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at their tasting bar. Beers will include RuinTen and Collective Distortion.

Everything’s d’ Vine Tasting is at 5:30 pm each week and costs $10 for beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00. For this week’s tasting (8/8), the beers are Fat Head’s Bumble Berry Honey Blueberry Ale, Unibroue Raftman, North Coast Le Merle and Great Lakes Spacewalker American Belgo.

Jungle Jim’s Eastgate – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. For this week’s tasting (8/8), the beers are Christian Moerlein. Pints are usually $3 (occasionally $4 or $5).

Jungle Jim’s Fairfield – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. For this week’s tasting (8/8), the beers are from Stone Brewing. Pints are usually $3.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – Friday Night Flights usually features six to eight beers each week and goes from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. For this week’s tasting (8/8), the beers are all imports including some Belgian beer from their cellar. The regular tasting is $2.00. Half pint pours of any one of the sampled beers will be available for $3.00.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six delicious bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

GROWLERS AT BREWERIES

Bad Tom Brewing (as of June 27th) has Fink Red Rye, Bad Tom Brown, Addlehead IPA, Brother Clement Belgian Ale, Old Abe American Strong and Black Kettle Stout. They are changing the recipe of their Helles and will be coming out with a session pale soon. Empty growlers are $5.50.

Christian Moerlein Craft Brewery (as of July 25th) has Northern Liberties IPA, Zeppelin Bavarian Pale Ale, Se7en Hefeweizen, Over-the-Rhine (OTR) Ale, Lager House Helles Lager, Barbarrossa Double Dark Lager, Altered Wheat, Lumenocity, Old Gregg Scottish Ale, Flying Pig Strawberry Cream Ale, Kiske Pilsner and Jean Robert 20th Hefeweizen. $8 for growler refills every Friday, $10 Growler refills on Saturday & Sunday. New growlers are $5. Hudy kegs are also available. Tap Room is located at 1621 Moore Street in Cincinnati’s Historic Over-The-Rhine Brewery District.

Listermann Brewing Company and Triple Digit Brewing keeps a dated list of beers on tap at http://listermannbrewing.com/tap-room/. New growlers are $3.

MadTree Brewing (as of July 31st) has Misnomer, Bourbon Barrel Aged Axis Mundi, Sol Drifter, Lift, Galaxy High, Identity Crisis, Axis Mundi, Gnarly Brown, Tiamat (Peach Saison), PsycHOPathy, Hoff Stevens Happy Amber (with Rum Soaked Cherries, Almond Extract and Lactose) and Happy Amber. According to their Facebook status update, they will have Hoff Stevens Sol Drifter (dry hopped with Sorachi Ace hops) and maybe Bourbon Barrel Aged Pumpcan back soon. New growlers are $5 and they will fill other growlers.

Mt. Carmel Brewing (as of July 16th) has Blonde, Amber, IPA, Nut Brown, Summer Wheat, Dewey’s Citra Saison, Coffee Brown and Imperial IPA. The cost is $8.50 for year rounds and most seasonals. Specialty beers (like the Imperial IPA now and Ardennes Belgian Quad in the past) are $18.00. It’s $4.50 for the purchase of a growler.

Rhinegeist Brewery (as of July 17th) has Spike, Hustle, #05256, Puma Pils, Cougar, Truth, Uncle, Fiction, Zen and Pure Fury. Coming tomorrow: Plow (saison – 4.4% abv). New growlers are $5 for either the 32 or 64 oz.

Rivertown Brewing (as of May 28th) has Roebling, Dunkel, Hop Bomber, Hop Baron, Blueberry, Helles, Jenneke, Lil SIPA, Wit, Unit 6, Amberdextrous and Lambic. Growler fills are $8.50 for most beers and high gravity beers are $11.70 (both prices are with tax). If you need a growler, it’s $4 extra.

GROWLERS AT BREW PUBS

Fifty West Brewing (as of May 7th) has Coast to Coast, Coffee Please Stout, One Way Street, Paycheck’s Porter, Penny’s Pilsner, Shortcut and Spoatieoatiedopaliscious, Thirty 37. Two different beer flights available. Flights are half off before 6:00 pm and all day on Sundays.

Moerlein Lager House (as of June 7th) has Helles Lager, Northern Liberties IPA, Old Gregg, Over-The-Rhine Ale, Se7en, Zeppelin, Barbarossa and Repeater. Growlers are $12.00 to refill or $16.00 if you need a growler. Growler refills are $8 on Tuesdays and Fridays. The specialty seasonals are $20.00 if you need a growler. They only fill their own growlers.

Rock Bottom Cincinnati sells growlers of all their regular beers. Most growler fills are $13.50. They only fill their own growlers.

Everything’s d’ Vine – Tasting is at 5:30 pm each week and costs $10 for beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00.
