Christian Moerlein Malt House and Moerlein Lager House – Brunch, Beers and Breweries Sunday at 10:30 am. See their web page for more information and to buy your tickets.

TASTINGS

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are pouring beers from Leinenkugel at Fairfield and various beers from Ohio Valley Distributing at Eastgate.

Party Source – $1 beer tastings on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm.

Party Town – No Friday Night Flights until January 6th.

TAPPINGS, PINT NIGHTS and RELEASES

BC’s Bottle Lodge – Randall Friday – They will be running Evil Twin’s Liquid Double Fudge through toasted coconut and cinnamon.

Cappy’s Wine and Spirits – For Christmas in Loveland Saturday at 4:00 pm, Cappy’s will be hosting the Official 4 Elf South Bash with all 40 taps taken over with beers from Dark Horse.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night and they will be pouring TBA.

Lehr’s Prime Market – Great Lakes Pint Night Friday from 5:00-8:00 pm. Beers include Barrel Aged Christmas Ale, Barrel Aged Alberta Clipper, Barrel Aged Triple Dog Dare, Christmas Ale and Alberta Clipper.

Mac’s Pizza Mainstrasse – Three Floyds Tap Takeover Friday at 6:00 pm. Beers include Zombiedust, Blot out the Sun, Permanent Funeral, Floyd Division, Alpha King, and Yum Yum.

Northside Yacht Club – Rhinegeist Barrel Aged Ink Imperial Stout Release & Tap Takeover Friday at 5:00 pm.

Urban Artifact – Thoroughbred Bottle Release Friday at 4:00 pm

TASTINGS

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they’re pouring from Goodwood. Beers include their flagship beers & special drafts, including Rum Barrel aged Amber Lager, an oak aged IPA, an Barrel aged Imperial Stout and a Coffee variant of that Imperial Stout. It’s $2.00 for the regular sample flights. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

TAPPINGS and RELEASES

BC’s Bottle Lodge – Evil Twin Tap Takeover tonight at 6:00 pm. Beers include Molotov Lite, Liquid Double Fudge, Imperial Biscotti Break, Aun Mas A Jesus and Aun Mas Cafe Jesus.

Braxton Brewing – Superfecta Tapping Party tonight at 5:00 pm. Superfecta is a dry-hopped rye saison brewed with Kentucky hops. This beer was brewed in collaboration with Great Flood Brewing Company in Louisville and Ethereal Brewing in Lexington.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Free Bacon Friday plus they’re pouring Green Flash Cosmic Retro Baltic Porter. Cost is $7 for a ten ounce snifter.

Party Source – Bottle release of Quaff Bros. Even S’more Of What? on Saturday at 12:00 pm. Price is $7.99 for a twelve ounce bottle. No limits.

Quaff Bros. Catalina Wine Mixer is a collaboration with Against The Grain. It is ATG 70K (13% abv Imperial Stout) aged in bourbon barrels with the addition of red wine soaked oak chips.

Monday, August 17th at 5:00 pm – Rare Keg Monday at Ei8ht Ball Brewing
This week, it’s Three Floyds Wigsplitter and Battle Priest.

Tuesday, August 18th at 6:30 pm – M Crown Beer Tapping at Moerlein Lager House
M Crown is a “hoppy, robust pale ale featuring Columbus and Centennial hops”.

Tuesday, August 18th at 6:30 pm – Arcade Beer Dinner at KungFood Chu’s AmerAsia
Amerasia holds these very unique beer dinners from time to time. This time, it’s Street Fighter II player vs player plus Evil Twin vs Mikkeller beer vs beer. Cost is $20 for “beer, arcade and food”. There are prizes for first and second place. Limited to 30 people.

Thursday, August 20th at 6:00 pm – MainStrasse Pub Crawl
From their Facebook event page: “Visit your favorite MainStrasse Pub and pickup a pint from one of these three breweries [Braxton, Deschutes and New Belgium]. With each pint, $1 is donated to The Dragonfly Foundation and you receive a raffle ticket to win one of many prizes.”

Beers: Against the Grain – Bo & Luke, Kentucky Ryed Chiquen, Citra Ass Down, There Gose the Neighborhood and Brown Note

Thursday, August 20th at 6:00-10:00 pm – Pint Night Thursdays at Cock & Bull (all three locations)
The beers for this week’s Pint Night Thursdays are: Main Strasse Covington – Great Lakes Oktoberfest, Glendale – Rogue 7 Hop IPA and Hyde Park – Stone Anniversary Ale.

Tastings and Tappings Report: August 14, 2015

We frequently get updates for our Tastings and Tappings Report after our regular publishing time. Any edited listing will have UPDATE at the beginning of the listing. Don’t forget to check out our This Week in Beer post from Monday for other better beer events happening this weekend.

TASTINGS

Country Fresh Farm Market and Wine Depot – Goodwood tasting including Louisville Lager, Walnut Brown Ale, Bourbon Barrel Stout and Goodwood Pale Ale from 4:00-7:00 pm tonight (8/14).

Everything’s d’ Vine – Tasting is at 5:30 pm each week and costs $10 for beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00. The beers for this week’s tasting (8/14) are MadTree Shade, Revolution Bottom Up Wit, Ei8ht Ball Prodigal and Tröegs Hop Knife.

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. Unfortunately, they recently updated their website and no longer list what beers they are pouring for the tastings as of yet. Hopefully, that will change soon.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week (8/14) from 5:30-7:00 pm, it’s beers from Dauntless Distributing. The draft by the glass pours will include Evil Twin From Amager With Love Blueberry Imperial Stout, Evil Twin Even More Jesus, Against the Grain Kentucky Ryed Chiquen and Against the Grain’s elusive 70k. Nine ounce pours are $4.00 each. The cost for the flight is $2.00 per person. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

TAPPINGS

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight (8/14) is Free Bacon Night AND they will be tapping Rhinegeist/Sun King Emergency Hop Kit. Cost is $5 for a sixteen ounce pint.
