We are blessed with top notch drinking water here in Cincinnati and it just so happens to make great beer too. Imagine if the water you were drinking (and everything made from it) was rendered toxic due to cost cutting efforts by your friendly local government. Not cool. This is exactly what has happened in Flint Michigan. People in that community currently don’t have access to safe drinking water from their municipal system and to us that is a real shame. It has been bugging us so much that we decided we need to do something to help.
This Saturday, January 23rd, BLANK SLATE BREWING COMPANY will be donating 20% of all beverage sales to the Flint Child Health and Development Fund to aid in immediate disaster relief for those affected by the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. We will also be accepting cash donations as part of the contributions.”

Help The Pub in Rookwood raise money for the family of Firefighter Patrick Wolterman who was killed in the line of duty on December 28th, 2015 serving the City of Hamilton Fire Department. Great Lakes Brewery, Ohio Valley Wine & Spirits Distributing, and The Pub have all agreed to donate $1 for every Great Lakes Pint sold between 5pm and 11pm on January 23rd. That means a $3 donation for every pint purchased. They will also have some amazing silent auction items, donation boxes, split the pot, t-shirts available for purchase, and more.

Giving for Lauren Event at Firehouse Grill – Sun., 11/30

Just got this press release and wanted to get the information out quickly since the event is this coming Sunday.

Cap off your Thanksgiving weekend by giving thanks for the courageous Lauren Hill, shoot a “Layup for Lauren”, and share a meal with Hill and family or try a unique MadTree beer, at the Firehouse Grill’s “Giving for Lauren” Fundraiser next Sunday.

The Firehouse Grill in Blue Ash will host “Giving for Lauren”, a fundraiser in honor of Lauren Hill on Sunday, November 30, from 2 to 8 p.m. The event will feature a MadTree beer in honor of Lauren Hill called “Lauren’s Dreamsicle”, a limited edition beer that tastes like a melted dreamsicle. Event proceeds will go to Lauren’s Fight for Cure.

WCPO’s Tanya O’Rourke is the event emcee. The fundraiser features a $22 buffet which includes a MadTree beer or Pepsi product, Giving for Lauren Hill 22 t-shirts, two basketball hoops for participants to do a Layup for Lauren Challenge, and a silent auction. Hill and her family, as well as her Mount St. Joseph Basketball Coach Dan Benjamin “Coach Bear” will be present.

Silent auction items for bid include:
– MadTree signs, merchandise, and VIP tour package (donated by MadTree;
– 4 Tickets for Bengals v. Steelers Game with Jungle Zone (donated by Pepsi);
– A Dr. Pepper Mountain Bike (donated by Pepsi); and
– Signed sports memorabilia (donated by ProCamps).

Ten Madtree beers will be on tap. $1 of every MadTree pint, can, or MadTree beer flight sold on Saturday November 29 or Sunday November 30th will be donated.
