TASTINGS

Country Fresh Farm Market and Wine Depot – Bell’s tasting Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm featuring Smitten Golden Rye Ale, Amber Ale, Two Hearted Ale, Special Double Creme and Oarsman Ale.

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are pouring beers from Listermann in Fairfield and beers from West Sixth in Eastgate.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Source – $1 beer tastings on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm. This week, they are pouring beers from 450 North including Galaxy Hopped IPA, Barn Yeti and more.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they are pouring beers from Goodwood Brewing. The draft by the glass pour will be Triple Oaked Walnut Brown Ale for $3.00. The cost for the flight is $2.00 per person. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

TAPPINGS

Braxton Brewing – Saturday at 6:00 pm – From their Facebook event page: “As part of their Kickstarter campaign, Braxton Brewing invited 20 individuals to each brew a batch of beer with them on their Test Batch System. This Saturday is the release of “Peel Out”, a Belgian Witbier infused with coriander & orange peel, brewed by Tony Catanzaro, Dave Dixon, Jon Covey & Mike Roszkowski.”

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night AND they will be tapping Chimay Blue. Cost is $10 for a ten ounce snifter.

PINT NIGHT

The Pub at Crestview Hills – Christian Moerlein Bay of Bengal pint night Friday from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Brass Tap U Square – What Gose Around Comes Around blind beer tasting Saturday (8/22) at 6:00 pm. $12 for a five ounce pour of different gose style beers.

Country Fresh Farm Market and Wine Depot – It’s unclear whether they are tasting Rhinegeist and/or Falls City. Either way, it’s scheduled from 4:00-7:00 pm tonight (8/21).

Everything’s d’ Vine – Tasting is at 5:30 pm each week and costs $10 for beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00. The beers for this week’s tasting (8/21) are MadTree Lift, Breckenridge Autumn Ale, Flying Dog Bloodline and Green Flash Soul Style IPA.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

UPDATEParty Town – For Friday Night Flights this week (8/21) from 5:30-7:00 pm, it’s beers from Sierra Nevada. The cost for the flight is $2.00 per person. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight (3/20) is Artswave Free Bacon Night and they will tapping Jolly Pumpkin Saison X. A portion of the proceeds from sales of all Ei8ht Ball Brewing beers sold that day will be donated to ArtsWave.

– Tomorrow (Saturday, 3/21) their Saturday infusion is Uinta Detour Run through a Randall of grapefruit. Cost is $6 for a 10 ounce snifter. They will also be tapping Rhinegeist Saber Tooth Tiger at 2:00 pm. Cost is $5 for a 10 ounce snifter.

– For next week’s Rare Keg Monday (3/23), it’s Hoppin’ Frog Barrel-Aged B.O.R.I.S. Cost is $12 for a 10 ounce snifter.

Tastings and Tappings: August 22, 2014

We frequently get updates for our Tastings and Tappings Report after our regular 9:00 am publishing time. Any edited listing will have UPDATE at the beginning of the listing.

TASTINGS

Everything’s d’ Vine Tasting is at 5:30 pm each week and costs $10 for beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00. For this week’s tasting (8/22), the beers are Curious Traveler Lemon Shandy, Anchor California Lager, Harpoon Octoberfest and Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin.

Jungle Jim’s Eastgate – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. For this week’s tasting (8/22), the beers are Sierra Nevada. Pints are usually $3 (occasionally $4 or $5).

Jungle Jim’s Fairfield – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. For this week’s tasting (8/22), it’s beers from North Coast Brewing. Pints are usually $3.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – Friday Night Flights usually features six to eight beers each week and goes from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. For this week’s tasting (8/22), the beers are from Left Hand. The regular tasting is $2.00. For $3.00, you can enjoy a pint of Haystack Wheat, Fade To Black Volume 5 or opt for a 9 oz. pour of Widdershins oak aged Barley Wine.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six delicious bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

TAPPINGS

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – For next week’s Rare Keg Monday, they will be tapping Three Floyds Gumballhead.
