This week, it’s Haand Aquavit Barrel Aged Porter and Epic Hop Zombie. Both beers will be $8 for a ten ounce snifter.

Wednesday, Feb. 1st at 5:00 pm – Braxton Beta Test at The Gruff
For $6, taste four of Braxton IPAs (Beta 1.0, Beta 2.0, Beta 4.0, and Spotlight White IPA) and vote for your favorite. Full pints for $6 and for $10 you can get a burger with your full pint.

Wednesday, Feb. 1st at 6:00 pm – Abita Tap Takeover at Mellow Mushroom (Wilder)
Beers include Amber, Mardi Gras Bock, Purple Haze and Macchiato Stout.

Thursday, Feb. 2nd at 11:00 am – Quaff Bros. Irish Spirit Draft Release at Ei8ht Ball
Irish Spirit is a whisky barrel aged stout brewed by West Sixth.

Thursday, Feb. 2nd from 4:00-9:00 pm – Groundhog Day Tap Takeover at Halfcut
Featuring five beers from West Sixth: IPA, Pennyrile Pale Ale, Second Fiddle Single Hop Simcoe IPA, Sixfold VIII Blackberry Sour, Barrel Aged Cocoa Porter.

Thursday, Feb. 2nd from 4:00-9:00 pm – Woodburn Pint Night at White Oak Marathon
Beers include Cedar IPA, Chocolate Cherry Stout, Amber Ale, and Hammer Session IPA.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they’re pouring from Goodwood. Beers include their flagship beers & special drafts, including Rum Barrel aged Amber Lager, an oak aged IPA, an Barrel aged Imperial Stout and a Coffee variant of that Imperial Stout. Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

BC’s Bottle Lodge – Evil Twin Tap Takeover tonight at 6:00 pm. Beers include Molotov Lite, Liquid Double Fudge, Imperial Biscotti Break, Aun Mas A Jesus and Aun Mas Cafe Jesus.

Braxton Brewing – Superfecta Tapping Party tonight at 5:00 pm. Superfecta is a dry-hopped rye saison brewed with Kentucky hops. This beer was brewed in collaboration with Great Flood Brewing Company in Louisville and Ethereal Brewing in Lexington.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Free Bacon Friday plus they’re pouring Green Flash Cosmic Retro Baltic Porter. Cost is $7 for a ten ounce snifter.

Party Source – Bottle release of Quaff Bros. Even S’more Of What? on Saturday at 12:00 pm. Price is $7.99 for a twelve ounce bottle. No limits.

TASTINGS

Country Fresh Farm Market and Wine Depot – Winter Beer and More Tasting Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm featuring Kona Koko Brown, Red Hook Winter Hook, Widmer BRRR and Kona Pipleine.

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are pouring beers from Weyerbacher in Fairfield and beers from Hop Head picks in Eastgate.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Source – $1 beer tastings on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they are pouring beers from some of Europe’s finest like Samuel Smith, Lindemans, Ayinger and Rochefort. The draft by the glass pour will be Ayinger Celebrator. Full draft pours will be $3.00 and the first 72 guests will receive Ayinger glassware to take home. The cost for the flight is $2.00 per person. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

TAPPINGS

Braxton Brewing – First Friday tapping from 5:00-9:00 pm – They will be tapping Trophy: Amarillo. 5% of all Trophy proceeds are donated back into the Covington Community.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night (30 pounds of it tonight) AND they will be pouring Epic Hop Zombie and four Ei8ht Ball releases: a new Kettle Sour featuring blackberry, raspberry and cherries called Little Richard, Yoga Pants (Black IPA featuring honey, Citra hops and Amarillo), Barrel-Aged Home Alone (O.K.I. Barrel-Aged Milk Stout w/nuts), Foursome (Blackberry Quad collaboration with Nogne O).

Also, on Saturday, Quaff Bros. Peppermint Stout bottle release at 4:00 pm. Cost is $10.99 and there is a limit of three per person.

This week, it’s Quaff Bros. Peppermint Stout, Grendel Mead, Under My Plum and Quaffanator. In addition, they are releasing bottles of Quaff Bros. Space Taxi Barrel #21 and Under My Plum.

Monday, Jan. 25th at 6:00 pm – Rhinegeist Appetizer Pairing at Holler Hops & Grill
First course: Rhinegeist semi-dry cider paired with an endive salad with fresh apples, walnuts, and a balsamic reduction; Second course: Spud with a tostada with a lime pico de gallo and a mango cream; Third course: Pure Fury paired with a bay scallop with a cilantro and chili lemon butter; Fourth course: Panther paired with a coffee rubbed steak on a bed of mixed greens. 1st Course: Doom Pedal Belgian Wit with Grilled salad with oyster and a dried apricot vinaigrette; 2nd Course:One Way Street Columbus IPA with Hop Smoked Whitefish and Hash; 3rd Course: Going Plaid Scotch Ale with Venison Hot Brown with Pork Belly Gravy and a Poached Egg; Finale: Buckle Down Brown Ale with Bread Pudding with Brown Ale Caramel Glaze.
