Bad Tom Brewing (as of June 27th) has Fink Red Rye, Bad Tom Brown, Addlehead IPA, Brother Clement Belgian Ale, Old Abe American Strong and Black Kettle Stout. They are changing the recipe of their Helles and will be coming out with a session pale soon. Empty growlers are $5.50.

Christian Moerlein Craft Brewery (as of July 18th) has Helles Lager, Northern Liberties IPA, Over-the-Rhine (OTR) Ale, Barbarrossa Double Dark Lager, Zeppelin Bavarian Pale Ale,
Saengerfest Maibock, Se7en Hefeweizen, Old Gregg Scottish Ale, Jean Robert 20th Hefeweizen, Flying Pig Strawberry Cream Ale, Altered Wheat and Kiske Pilsner. $8 for growler refills every Friday, $10 Growler refills on Saturday & Sunday. MadTree Brewing (as of July 17th) has Misnomer, MadMann, Sol Drifter, Lift, Galaxy High, Identity Crisis, Axis Mundi, Gnarly Brown, Bourbon Barrel Aged Axis Mundi, PsycHOPathy, Hoff Stevens Happy Amber (with Rum Soaked Cherries, Almond Extract and Lactose) and Happy Amber. According to their Facebook status update, they will be “introducting Tiamat, a 6.5% Peach Saison” today. New growlers are $5 and they will fill other growlers.

Mt. Carmel Brewing (as of July 16th) has Blonde, Amber, IPA, Nut Brown, Summer Wheat, Dewey’s Citra Saison, Coffee Brown and Imperial IPA. The cost is $8.50 for year rounds and most seasonals. Specialty beers (like the Imperial IPA now and Ardennes Belgian Quad in the past) are $18.00. It’s $4.50 for the purchase of a growler.

Rhinegeist Brewery (as of July 17th) has Spike, Hustle, #05256, Puma Pils, Cougar, Truth, Uncle, Fiction, Zen and Pure Fury. Coming tomorrow: Plow (saison – 4.4% abv). New growlers are $5 for either the 32 or 64 oz.

Rivertown Brewing (as of May 28th) has Roebling, Dunkel, Hop Bomber, Hop Baron, Blueberry, Helles, Jenneke, Lil SIPA, Wit, Unit 6, Amberdextrous and Lambic. Growler fills are $8.50 for most beers and high gravity beers are $11.70 (both prices are with tax). If you need a growler, it’s $4 extra.

Fifty West Brewing (as of May 7th) has Coast to Coast, Coffee Please Stout, One Way Street, Paycheck’s Porter, Penny’s Pilsner, Shortcut and Spoatieoatiedopaliscious, Thirty 37. Two different beer flights available. Flights are half off before 6:00 pm and all day on Sundays.

TASTINGS AND TAPPINGS

Everything’s d’ Vine Tasting is at 5:30 pm each week and costs $10 for beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00. For this week’s tasting (5/16), the beers are Original Sin Pear Cider, Fat Head’s Bumble Berry, Oskar Blues Deviant Dale’s IPA, Great Lakes Chillwave Double IPA and Stone Brewery Contest Winner: Rick and Robbie’s Sprocket Bier.

Jungle Jim’s Eastgate – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. This week’s beers (5/16) are from Leinenkugel: Summer Shandy, Canoe Paddler, Big Eddy Imperial IPA, Big Eddy Wee Heavy Scotch Ale. Pints are usually $3 (occasionally $4 or $5).

TASTINGS AND TAPPINGS

NOTE: There are lots of Deschutes tastings this weekend and next week. Check our This Week in Beer post for more information on them.

Everything’s d’ Vine – Tasting is at 5:30 pm each week and costs $10 for beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00. For this week’s tasting (1/24), the beers are from Ithaca Brewing: Flower Power IPA, CascaZilla Red IPA, Apricot Wheat Ale and Ground Break Saison.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – Friday Night Flights features six to eight beers each week. The cost for the regular tasting is $2 for a full flight of beers and it goes from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. This week (1/24), they are pouring beers from Deschutes and Kona (both new to KY) and also some from SweetWater.

TASTINGS AND TAPPINGS

Christian Moerlein Brewing – They will be tapping Christkindl at their Tap Room today (11/8) at 6:00 pm. Go to their Facebook event for more information.

Everything’s d’ Vine – Tasting is at 5:30 pm each week and costs $10 for beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00. This week’s beers (11/8) are TBA but they will be celebrating their one year anniversary this weekend.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – Friday Night Flights features six to eight beers each week. The cost for the regular tasting is $2 for a full flight of beers and it goes from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Rivertown Brewing (as of August 17th) has Helles Lager, Blueberry Lager, Dunkel Lager, Jenneke Belgian Golden Ale, Unit 6 American Hefeweizen, Hop Bomber Pale Ale, Lil’ SIPA, Hop Baron DIPA, Pumpkin Ale and Roebling Vanilla Espresso Porter. Growler fills are $8.50 for most beers and high gravity beers are $11.70 (both prices are with tax). If you need a growler, it’s $4 extra. Sour Cherry Porter Bottles are $13.99 plus tax (limited two).

GROWLERS AT BREW PUBS

Fifty West Brewing (as of April 4th) has Alternate Route, Armadillo Crossing, Coast to Coast, Coffee Please, Gaddy’s Irish Red, Interstate Ryeway, Main Street Amber, Robinson’s Circus, Shifting Gears, Speedbump Kolsch and Thirty-37. Two different beer flights available. Flights are half off before 6:00 pm and all day on Sundays.

Moerlein Lager House (as of August 2nd) has the following beers available for growler fills: Barbarossa, Helles Golden Lager, Northern Liberties IPA, OTR Ale, Rhapsody Bohemian Pilsner and Seven Hefeweizen. Growlers are $12.00 to refill or $16.00 if you need a growler. Growler refills are $7 on Tuesdays and Fridays. The specialty seasonals are $20.00 if you need a growler. They only fill their own growlers.

Rock Bottom Cincinnati sells growlers of all their regular beers. Most growler fills are $13.50. They only fill their own growlers.

GROWLERS AT RESTAURANTS

Adriatico’s now does growler fills. An empty growler is $5 and it sounds like they only fill their own. Pricing varies by beer. Unfortunately, we do not have a current draft beer listing for them, but a representative listing is available on their Facebook menu page.

Buckhead Mountain Grill does growler fills. As of April 18th, they had Falls City, West Sixth IPA, Upland Wheat, Angry Orchard Crisp, KY Bourbon Barrel Ale, Rivertown Blueberry Lager, Mt. Carmel Amber, Mt. Carmel Nut Brown, Southern Tier 2X IPA, Blue Moon, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Samuel Adams Summer Ale, Third Shift Amber Lager, Bell’s Oberon, Franziskaner Hefe, Guinness, Stella Artois, Great Lakes Conway’s Irish Ale, Miller Lite and Bud Light. The cost is $16 for a “fill of any craft or import beer offered in a 16oz serving size” (add $5 for a new Buckhead growler).

Flipdaddy’s (both locations) also does growler fills. At their Wooster Pike location, their permanent drafts are Bell’s Two Hearted, Breckenridge 471, Blue Moon, Weinenstephan Hefe Weissbier, Miller Lite, Stella Artois, Brooklyn Lager, Mt. Everything’s d’ Vine – Tasting is at 5:30 pm each week and costs $10 for beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00. TASTINGS

Everything’s d’ Vine – They recently reduced their tasting prices to $10 on their regular Friday night beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00. The tasting is at 5:30 pm each week. This week’s beers (7/19) are Dogfish Head Namaste, Kapuziner Heffeweisen, Green Flash Trippel, New Albanian Hoptimus and St. Ambroise 2009 vintage English Barley Wine.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – Friday Night Flights features six to eight beers each week. The cost for the regular tasting is $2 for a full flight of beers and it goes from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. This week’s beers are all canned beers. They will be tapping a barrel of Against the Grain Dork Lard Imperial adjunct wine at 5:30 for $5.00 a pint.

Growlers are $12.00 to refill or $16.00 if you need a growler. Growler refills are $7 on Tuesdays and Fridays. The specialty seasonals are $20.00 if you need a growler. They only fill their own growlers.

Rock Bottom Cincinnati sells growlers of all their regular beers. Most growler fills are $13.50. They only fill their own growlers.

Adriatico’s now does growler fills. An empty growler is $5 and it sounds like they only fill their own. Pricing varies by beer. Unfortunately, we do not have a current draft beer listing for them, but a representative listing is available on their Facebook menu page.

Buckhead Mountain Grill does growler fills. As of April 18th, they had Falls City, West Sixth IPA, Upland Wheat, Angry Orchard Crisp, KY Bourbon Barrel Ale, Rivertown Blueberry Lager, Mt. Carmel Amber, Mt. Carmel Nut Brown, Southern Tier 2X IPA, Blue Moon, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Samuel Adams Summer Ale, Third Shift Amber Lager, Bell’s Oberon, Franziskaner Hefe, Guinness, Stella Artois, Great Lakes Conway’s Irish Ale, Miller Lite and Bud Light.
