TASTINGS

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, it’s North High at Fairfield and at Eastgate, it’s SweetWater.

— On Saturday from 4:00-10:00 pm, the Eastgate Jungle Jim’s will have a Mt. Carmel Brewery tap takeover in their Paradise Pavilion. Pints and flights available.

Party Source – $1 beer tastings on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they are having a mid-summer all dark beer tasting. “The featured 9oz draft by the glass pours will be Founders Dark Penance Rye Dark Ale & Long Trail Unearthed Imperial Stout for $3.00, however anything on the tables is up for grabs for your pour should you like something else better.” It’s $2.00 for the regular sample flights. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

TAPPINGS and RELEASES

BC’s Bottle Lodge – Jackie O’s Tap Takeover today starting at 6:00 pm. Beers include Razz Wheat, Hop Ryot, New Growth, Mandala Citra and Full Allotment.

Cappy’s Wine and Spirits – 5 Rabbit Tapping Saturday starting at 2:00 pm. Beers include Super Pils, Paletas Prickly Pear, Huitzi and Chinga tu Pelo.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night and they will be pouring Three Floyds Live a Rich Life. Cost is $7 for 10 ounce snifter.

Keystone Hyde Park – Bell’s Double Two Hearted Beer Tappening today from 4:00-9:00 pm. Other Bell’s beers on tap including Oberon, Oatsmobile, and Two Hearted Ale.

OTHER

With CINCINNATI BEER WEEK winding down, we will have more events than usual listed this week. And, because we will be out of town most of the weekend, any late changes or additions may not get updated.

HAPPY GRAND OPENING, NINE GIANT! – You can celebrate Cincinnati Beer Week at the newest Cincinnati Brewery starting tomorrow. Located at 6095 Montgomery Rd in Cincinnati, they promise Nine Giant beer, guest beer, wine for “your ‘I don’t like beer’ friends” and more. Welcome!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, RHINEGEIST! – Join the celebration tomorrow from noon to midnight. For more information like the hourly tappings, check out their Facebook event page.

Country Fresh Farm Market and Wine Depot – Erie Brewing Company tasting today from 4:00-7:00 pm. Beers include Soleil Shandy, Derailed Cherry Inspired Cream Ale, Railbender Ale Scottish Style Ale and another beer to be determined.

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are celebrating Cincinnati Beer Week at Fairfield and at Eastgate, it’s New Belgium and Rhinegeist beers including their collaboration on Rhinegeist Fat Pale Ale.

— On Saturday from 4:00-10:00 pm, the Eastgate Jungle Jim’s will have a Alltech Lexington Brewing tap takeover in their Paraside Pavilion. Pints and flights available.

Party Source – $1 beer tastings on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they are celebrating local brewers with several collaboration draft by the glass pour selections for $3.00. Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

Braxton Brewing – Bagels, Beer Jelly, and Beermosas Friday Morning. Lil’s Bagels and jellies made out of Storm, Twisted Bit, Dead Blow and Nectar Mexican Lager with Agave.

– Braxton Summertrip Passion Fruit Berliner Weisse & Crowler Launch Party Friday starting at 5:30 pm plus for June Firkin Friday, it’s Nectar Mexican Lager with Agave (their Cincinnati Beer Week Collaborative Beer) with lime and salt.

Cappy’s Wine and Spirits – Fat Head’s Friday starting at 5:00 pm. Beers include Headhunter, Midnight Moonlite, Trailhead, and a firkin of Jungle Juice Head Hunter.

Christian Moerlein Malt House – Moerlein Bomber Bash Saturday starting at 6:00 pm. You an get a four-pack including: 1000Weiss, Wild Hunt Cascadian Ale, Twelve/163 Brandy Barrel Aged Quad and Eleven/162 Bourbon Barrel Aged Wee Heavy; plus 2 snifter glasses for $35. There is no bottle limit and they’ll have all the beers on tap as well.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night and they will be pouring beers from Deschutes including Fresh Squeezed IPA, Not The Stoic Barrel Aged Quadruple & Pinot Sauve.

Rivertown Brewing – Tapping Passion Fruit Divergent today starting at 4:00 pm. And then Pineapple Divergent on Saturday starting at noon.

Urban Artifact – 5 Rabbits Tap Takeover today starting at 4:00 pm. Beers include 5 Lizard, Magnifica, Paletas, Super Pils and Chocofrut Pina.

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are pouring beers from Bell’s in Fairfield and 5 Rabbit Cerveceria with Randy Mosher in attendance in Eastgate.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

UPDATEParty Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, it’s beers from Three Floyds, Founders, Ommegang, Dogfish Head, 450 North, Rogue and Christian Moerlein. The featured draft by the glass pour will be Mad Tree Galaxy High with Mad Tree glassware for $4.00. . The cost for the flight is $2.00 per person. A nine ounce pour is $3. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

Monday, August 3rd at 6:00 pm – August Beer of the Month at Moerlein Lager House
This month, the beer is their Bay of Bengal Double IPA and the proceeds benefit the Marvin Lewis Community Fund. A dollar from every Beer of the Month sold will be donated along with 100% of the proceeds from the ceremonial keg.

Thursday, August 6th-Saturday, August 8th – Cappy’s Wine & Spirits Bellsfest
They will be featuring six specialty kegs throughout the event and $1 from each Bell’s pint or growler will be donated to the Lauren Hill Foundation. Rare keg tappings scheduled for 4:00 pm each day. Ei8ht Ball Brewing – For next week’s Rare Keg Monday (9/22), the rare keg is Prairie Cherry Funk. Cost is $10 for a 13 ounce tulip.

GROWLERS AT BREWERIES

Christian Moerlein Craft Brewery (as of August 2nd) have Barbarossa, Helles Golden Lager, Northern Liberties IPA, OTR Ale, Rhapsody Bohemian Pilsner and Seven Hefeweizen. $7 for Growler refills every Friday, $10 Growler refills on Saturday & Sunday. New growlers are $5. Tap Room is located at 1621 Moore Street in Cincinnati’s Historic Over-The-Rhine Brewery District.

Listermann Brewing Company and Triple Digit Brewing (as of April 4th) have Lateral Oatmeal Sweet Stout, Triple Digit Aftermath, Triple Digit Gravitator, Friar Bacon Smoked Bock, Jungle Honey, Leopold Belgian Blonde, Triple Digit Chickow!, Nutcase Peanut Butter Porter, Pre-Prohibition Lager and a brand new beer: Serpentine Wheat. New growlers are $3.

MadTree Brewing (as of June 27th) has PsycHOPathy ($10), Happy Amber ($10), Gnarly Brown ($10), Pleasant Wheat ($10), Wheat Eater ($10), Axis Mundi ($15), Flight of Simcoe ($10) and Identity Crisis ($12.50 – currently out, but back soon). New growlers are $5 and they will fill other growlers.

Mt. Carmel Brewing (as of August 2nd) has Nut Brown, Amber, Stout, Blonde, IPA, Summer Wheat, Dew Wheat, and Harvest Ale. The cost is $8.00 for year rounds and seasonals. Rhinegeist Brewery (as of June 28th) has Cougar Gold ($6 for 32 oz, $10 for 64 oz), Truth West Coast IPA ($8 for 32 oz, $12 for 64 oz), Uncle British Mild ($6 for 32 oz, $10 for 64 oz) & Spikelet Hoppy Wheat ($6 for 32 oz, $10 for 64 oz). Saber Tooth Tiger Imperial IPA to be tapped Saturday, August 3rd. Pricing is for refills. New growlers are $5 for either the 32 or 64 oz.

Rivertown Brewing (as of August 17th) has Helles Lager, Blueberry Lager, Dunkel Lager, Jenneke Belgian Golden Ale, Unit 6 American Hefeweizen, Hop Bomber Pale Ale, Lil’ SIPA, Hop Baron DIPA, Pumpkin Ale and Roebling Vanilla Espresso Porter. Growler fills are $8.50 for most beers and high gravity beers are $11.70 (both prices are with tax). If you need a growler, it’s $4 extra. Sour Cherry Porter Bottles are $13.99 plus tax (limited two).

GROWLERS AT BREW PUBS

Fifty West Brewing (as of April 4th) has Alternate Route, Armadillo Crossing, Coast to Coast, Coffee Please, Gaddy’s Irish Red, Interstate Ryeway, Main Street Amber, Robinson’s Circus, Shifting Gears, Speedbump Kolsch and Thirty-37. Two different beer flights available. Flights are half off before 6:00 pm and all day on Sundays.

Moerlein Lager House (as of August 2nd) has the following beers available for growler fills: Barbarossa, Helles Golden Lager, Northern Liberties IPA, OTR Ale, Rhapsody Bohemian Pilsner and Seven Hefeweizen. Growlers are $12.00 to refill or $16.00 if you need a growler. Growler refills are $7 on Tuesdays and Fridays. The specialty seasonals are $20.00 if you need a growler. They only fill their own growlers.

Rock Bottom Cincinnati sells growlers of all their regular beers. Most growler fills are $13.50. They only fill their own growlers.

GROWLERS AT RESTAURANTS

Adriatico’s now does growler fills. An empty growler is $5 and it sounds like they only fill their own. Pricing varies by beer. Unfortunately, we do not have a current draft beer listing for them, but a representative listing is available on their Facebook menu page.

Buckhead Mountain Grill does growler fills. As of April 18th, they had Falls City, West Sixth IPA, Upland Wheat, Angry Orchard Crisp, KY Bourbon Barrel Ale, Rivertown Blueberry Lager, Mt. Carmel Amber, Mt. Carmel Nut Brown, Southern Tier 2X IPA, Blue Moon, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Samuel Adams Summer Ale, Third Shift Amber Lager, Bell’s Oberon, Franziskaner Hefe, Guinness, Stella Artois, Great Lakes Conway’s Irish Ale, Miller Lite and Bud Light. The cost is $16 for a “fill of any craft or import beer offered in a 16oz serving size” (add $5 for a new Buckhead growler).

Flipdaddy’s (both locations) also does growler fills. At their Wooster Pike location, their permanent drafts are Bell’s Two Hearted, Breckenridge 471, Blue Moon, Weinenstephan Hefe Weissbier, Miller Lite, Stella Artois, Brooklyn Lager, Mt. Carmel Amber, Smithwick’s, Yuengling, KY Bourbon Barrel Ale, MadTree Gnarly Brown, Guinness and New Holland The Poet. Their Rotating Drafts (as of 8/11/13): Bell’s Oberon, Jackie O’s Waka Waka Waka, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Oskar Blues Deviant Dale’s, Crispin Cider, Great Lakes Lake Erie Monster, Southern Tier 2X Stout (nitro), Oskar Blues G’Knight, Oskar Blues Gubna, Boulder Mojo (nitro).

Incline Public House has growlers available for all 12 of their beers on tap. Growlers are $5 and fills are 3 times pint price that are currently $5, $6 and $7.
