Tastings and Tappings Report: July 29, 2016

TASTINGS

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, it’s Green Flash & Alpine Brewing at Fairfield and Fifty West at Eastgate.

Party Source – $1 beer tastings on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they are pouring the entire beer line-up from Alltech’s Lexington Brewing Co. plus Town Branch Bourbon, Town Branch Rye & Pearce Lyons Reserve Bourbon for $3.00. It’s $2.00 for the regular sample flights. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

TAPPINGS and RELEASES

Braxton Brewing – Firkin Friday tonight at 5:30 pm. This month, it’s Give Back Pale Ale with lemon peel and dry hopped with Citra and Mosaic.

Cappy’s Wine and Spirits – Founders Brewing Sleeper Cell tapping from 5:00-10:00 pm on Saturday.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night and they will be pouring Three Floyds beers including Apocalypse Cow, Cimmerian Sabertooth Berzerker, Hopped in Half and Zombie Dust.

Moerlein Lager House – WEBN Boom Can Launch Party tonight starting at 5:00 pm. WEBN’s Kidd Chris and Eddie Fingers will be there and you can get a 6-pack to go for $5.99.

OTHER

Cincinnati Beer Week starts on Sunday, June 19th which is also Father’s Day. Here is a reminder of some events planned for that day.

Country Fresh Farm Market and Wine Depot – Samuel Adams Beer Tasting today from 4:00-7:00 pm.

Jungle Jim’s – International Beer Fest on Friday and Saturday nights. Go to http://shop.junglejims.com/collections/all/beer-fest for more information and to purchase tickets.

– Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Eastgate only this week. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are pouring beers from Great Lakes at Eastgate.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Braxton Brewing – Summer Block Party: Big Green Eggfest Saturday starting at 11:00 am. This free event includes “Live Music, Guest Beer Tappings, and Braxton Brewing Company Special Releases – All Day!” You may have even see some Hoperatives cooking on the Big Green Eggs. Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night and they will be pouring beers from Alpine Brewing including Duet and Hoppy Birthday. Both beers will be $8 for a sixteen ounce pint.

Keystone Hyde Park – Rhinegeist Tap Takeover tonight starting at 7:00 pm. Beers include Truth, Hustle, Spike, Juicy Tooth and Puma.

The Party Source – OTR Cider Co. launch from 4:00-6:00 pm today.

Rhinegeist – Tapping Streaker (their rye IPA) at their Rooftop Summer Series #1 tonight starting at 4:00 pm. This is ahead of Streaker’s official release on Monday.

Beers include Maine Lunch, Maine King Titus, Maine/Heavy Seas Collaboration Partnership, Heavy Seas Siren Noir, Heavy Seas Cutlass Supreme and they will also be releasing the two most recent Hoof Hearted cans at noon also.

Monday, May 30th at 5:00 pm – Rare Keg Monday at Ei8ht Ball Brewing
This week, it’s Prairie Birthday Bomb. The cost is $7 For a ten ounce snifter.

Wednesday, June 1st at 12:00 noon – Three Floyds Zombie Dust Tapping at Ei8ht Ball Brewing
The cost is $7 For a sixteen ounce pint.

Wednesday, June 1st at 4:00 pm – MadTree and Watershed Distillery Tasting Featuring Joon at The Works (Loveland)

Wednesday, June 1st from 4:00-7:00 pm – Uinta Cucumber Farmhouse aged in Gin Barrels Tapping at Ei8ht Ball Brewing
The cost is $5 For a sixteen ounce pint.

Thursday, June 2nd at 5:00-10:00 pm – Alpine Pint Night at Cappy’s Wine and Spirits
Beers include Duet, Nelson, Hoppy Birthday and Hot Box.
