Hoperatives Tastings and Tappings Report

Arnold’s hosts Craft Menagerie and MadTree Bottle Release

So sad we have to miss this event at Arnold’s – one of our favorite better beer locations. But you can go in our place, right? :)

On Dec 19th from 11-4 Arnold’s is transforming its courtyard and bar room into: The Craft Menagerie Last Minute Holiday Market. Tara Heilman from Robot Inside has carefully curated an Indie Craft Market so that the last minute shoppers of the world aren’t just relegated to big box stores and still have a chance to grab something unique and hand-made. The market will feature over 20 vendors selling everything from fine jewelry to screen printed posters to stuffed animals to pottery and more. Breeden says ” We work with The Craft Menagerie every year for Bockfest and it’s a huge draw. When Tara Heilman approached us with the idea of doing one for last minute holiday gifts we jumped right on it”.

If hand-made stuff isn’t necessarily your bag or you have got all of your shopping done for the year. There is always…. Beer. Madtree has signed on to offer something truly special for Holidays. They have released to Arnold’s, a very limited amount of gift packs that feature their hardest to get and most sought after brews. Arnold’s will be selling the gift packs as to go retail and you will not be able to drink it at Arnold’s. There will be two gifts packs. One featuring Tequila Tiamat which is completely sold out and has never been sold outside of their brewery. The second is featuring Gin Barrel Joon which is completely sold out everywhere, only a tiny amount was released for sale outside of the brewery back in July and just won the title of Top 25 beers of 2015 from Draft magazine. Each bottle comes packaged with a limited edition Teku glass from Madtree’s Trunk and Funk series. The beer and the glass together will retail for 21.99 making it an affordable gift for even the most discerning beer geek. Needless to say, quantities are very limited for these bottles. They didn’t just stop at the there though, Madtree will also be having a tap takeover with a few of their flagships as well as a few of their harder to find seasonal brews starting when the doors open. Madtree Co-owner Brady Duncan says “We’re excited to be able to dig into our cellars to offer a limited amount of Trunk Series bottles that were a one-time release. Joon was just named by Draft Magazine as one of the Top 25 New Beers of 2015 and Tequila Barrel Aged Tiamat has found a special place in the hearts of many craft beer fans. Both beers are drinking great and would make an excellent gift for a loved one, or yourself”.

Arnold’s will be serving a limited menu of Sandwiches and Fries from 11-4 and will open for full business with normal table service at 5pm. Bar will be open all day.
