Arthur’s Café Anderson – Rhinegeist Brewery and Fifty West Brewing Blind Flight Challenge and Raffle to benefit MDA Saturday from 11:00 am – 11:00 pm. From Facebook: “Think you know Cincinnati beer? Come out on March 25th and try to identifiy which beer belongs to which brewery. Get a flight of four, two from Rhinegeist Brewery and two from 50 West Brewing. You guess correctly on the ballot, you get entered to win merch from both breweries and from Arthur’s. $1 from each flight sold all day will go to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Southern Ohio.”

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Final Beer Olympics Sunday from 1:00-3:00 pm. Go cheer on twenty teams of two as they complete in events like Tricycle Race, Beer Relay Race, Pin the Tail on the Keg, Beer Balloon Toss, Barrel-Roll, Flip Cup, and Can Jam.

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are pouring beers from Green Flash at Fairfield and from Boulevard at Eastgate.

Party Source – $1 beer tastings on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they’re pouring from Rivertown. It’s $2.00 for the regular sample flights. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

Cappy’s Wine and Spirits – Local Friday featuring Alltech today from 5:00-10:00 pm. Featured beers are Blackberry Porter and Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale.

Fifty West – Wee Heavy Bevvy Draft Beer Release today at 11:00 am. From Facebook: “We are excited to announce our collaboration with two 2016 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) winners, Revelry Brewing Co. from Charleston, South Carolina and Real Ale Brewing Company from Blanco, Texas to create “America’s greatest scotch ale”. The three breweries that placed bronze, silver, and gold, respectively, in the Scotch Ale category at GABF are joining forces to create ‘Wee Heavy Bevvy’ Scotch Ale, a never done before collaboration. ‘Wee Heavy Bevvy’ will be tapped on Friday, March 24th at each of the three breweries. Fifty West will have it on tap at their Production Works and Brewpub!”

Quaff Bros. Catalina Wine Mixer is a collaboration with Against The Grain. It is ATG 70K (13% abv Imperial Stout) aged in bourbon barrels with the addition of red wine soaked oak chips.

– For Saturday’s Randall Saturday (7/18), it’s Evil Twin Freudian Slip Barleywine through cherries. Cost is $7 for a ten ounce snifter.

– For next week’s Rare Keg Monday (7/20), it’s Grimm Telekinesis Dry-Hopped Sour. Cost is $10 for a thirteen ounce tulip.

Tastings and Tappings Report: June 26, 2015

We frequently get updates for our Tastings and Tappings Report after our regular publishing time. Any edited listing will have UPDATE at the beginning of the listing. Don’t forget to check out our This Week in Beer post from Monday for other better beer events happening this weekend.

TASTINGS

Country Fresh Market and Wine Depot (Anderson) – West Sixth Tasting from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Tentative beers include IPA (on tap), Lemongrass Wheat Ale, Amber Ale and Hell or Heaven.

Everything’s d’ Vine – Tasting is at 5:30 pm each week and costs $10 for beer and wine tastings. You can get just beer or just wine for $5.00. For this week’s tasting (6/26), it’s Boulevard Hibiscus Gose, Rivertown Blueberry Lager, Goose Island Summer Ale and Maumee Bay GlassHopper IPA.

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week (6/26) from 5:30-7:00 pm, it’s beers from HE’BREW. Cost for the flight is $2.00 per person. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

TAPPINGS

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight (6/26) is Free Bacon Night AND they will be having a Jackie O’s tap takeover. Beers include Pawpaw Wheat, Matriarch Triple IPA, Mystic Mama IPA, Chomolungma and Bourbon Barrel Brick Kiln Barleywine. Prices will vary per beer.

– For Saturday’s Randall Saturday (6/27), it’s Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break through sweet orange peel and cinnamon sticks. Cost is $8 for a ten ounce snifter.

– For next week’s Rare Keg Monday (6/29), it’s Lagunitas CitruSinensis Pale Ale. Cost is $y for a ten ounce snifter.
