Named in honor of fallen Hamilton firefighter, Patrick Wolterman, we have infused our Approachable Blonde Ale with fresh watermelon. We will be tapping this beer with the Wolterman family and Hamilton Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 20 at 4:15pm on July 26th. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this beer will go toward Companions on a Journey Grief Support. Come take part in a toast to the life of Patrick and to the brave men and women that serve and protect this fine city.

MBW 1st Anniversary Party

Join the Yada Yada Yadas along with special guests, Chantelle and The Digs and Outta Here, as we help celebrate the amazing first year anniversary of Municipal Brew Works. Music starts on the mobile stage outside at 4:00 and goes to 11:00.

We have some great food trucks coming in that day and they will be available starting at lunch time.

Come check us out all weekend as there will be live music on Friday and Sunday as well. Don’t miss it!

1st Anniversary Bottle Release

Bottle release for the first of our Anniversary Series beers. This year will be an Imperial IPA with honey added that clocks in around 9.5% ABV. It will be sold in 22oz bombers and there is a limit of 4 per person. Draft version will available as well.

HAPPY NATIONAL BEER DAY! (aka the 84th anniversary of the relegalization of beer after Prohibition.)

TASTINGS, TOURS and DINNERS

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, they are pouring beers from Great Lakes at Fairfield and from Great Lakes at Eastgate too.

Lehr’s Prime Market – Christian Moerlein beer tasting Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm. Beers include OTR, Pacer, FC Blood Orange IPA, Stawberry Pig, and the Thirteen/164 anniversary beer.

OTR Biergarten – Featuring beers from Streetside Brewery this weekend. They will be pouring Tea Bags, a honey blonde ale with green tea, and Raspberry Beret, a Berliner Weisse with raspberries. The April Biergarten hours are Saturday, 11am-6pm and Sunday, 11am-4 pm.

Party Source – $1 beer tastings on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they’re pouring from TBA. It’s $2.00 for the regular sample flights. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

TAPPINGS, PINT NIGHTS and RELEASES

Braxton Brewing – Velveteen Chocolate and Beer Pairing Sunday at 1:00 pm. Tickets are available for purchase for this Girls Pint Out event which will included four tasters plus chocolate pairings and a pint of your choice after the event. The cost is $23.76 per person.

Brink Brewing – Queen City Bee Beer release Saturday at noon. This beer was made on “Big Boots Brew Day” as part of Pink Boots Society to take part in International Women’s Day to raise the profile of women in the beer industry and to raise the profile of beer to women. The women of Brink brewed this in collaboration with the ladies of Fibonacci Brewing Company and Marty’s Hops & Vines.

Christian Moerlein Malt House – Tank 9 Project release for New Brew Friday at 4:00 pm. From Facebook: “April’s release is a Pale Wheat Ale coming in at 5.2% ABV and 31 IBU this is like Moerlein’s OG Altered Pale Ale but the 2.0 edition. Brought to you by Brewer Al, it uses mandarina bavaria and lemon drop hops These hops give the beer a nice tangerine and lemon citrus aroma and flavor. It is a crisp, refreshing beer perfect for the summer time.”

Municipal Brew Works – Walk in the Park Pilsner release Friday at 4:00 pm.

BC’s Bottle Lodge – Mucho Michelada Keg Tapping Saturday at 11:00 am. Mucho Michelada beer from Lucky Star is a premixed Mexican Lager with homemade Bloody Mary mix. They will be garnishing each glass with Mexican spices as well as lime, celery, olives, cheese, pickles, pepperochini, and bacon.

Braxton Brewing – Dead Blow Can Release Friday at 5:00 pm. Includes live music from Queen City Silver Stars, a Dead Blow inspired menu from Empanadas Aqui, a tropical-themed Firkin infusion and “a few other surprises along the way.”

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night and they will be pouring TBA

HAPPY GRAND OPENING TO DARKNESS BREWING! – While they have been open serving other breweries’ beers, this Saturday starting at 2:00 pm, you can finally enjoy a Darkness beer on draft. Live music and a taco truck too.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night and they will be pouring MadTree Are You Ready for Darkness? and Barrel Aged Ye Olde Battering Ram.

Municipal Brew Works – Tapping their first seasonal today at 4:00 pm. Woltermelon Blonde Ale is their flagship Approachable Blonde infused with real watermelons. It’s their tribute to summer and to Patrick Wolterman who lost his life while doing his job as a Hamilton Fire Fighter. “His family explained to [the brewery] that Patrick became a fan of a watermelon flavored beer at a Hamilton Fire Department summer picnic.”

Rhinegeist – Lumenocity Glow Launch Party today starting at 8:00 pm.

Down the River with Upland Brewing – This two-night event starts at Cappy’s Wine and Spirits Friday night 5:00-10:00 pm with the famous Peanut from Ei8ht Ball starting the bartender swap. Then on Saturday night beginning at 12:00 noon head to Ei8ht Ball as Sara Levin from Cappy’s finishes the bartender swap. Both nights you can enjoy Thunderbird Wings from Nashville with your Upland beers.

Wiedemann’s – At the Findlay Market this weekend. Friday 4:00-8:00 pm; Saturday 11:00 am-8:00 pm; and Sunday 11:00 am-5:00 pm.
