Spring Grove to Host Beer Barons Tour – July 26th

For several years now, Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum has been conducting walking tours of their grounds with special themes. One of the most popular ones has been their tour of the graves of the many Cincinnati beer barons buried at Spring Grove. But, since they were usually scheduled in the summer months, they could often be rather hot, muggy events.

This year, Spring Grove is trying something a bit different. Instead of walking, the tours will be done in motor coaches. The very knowledgeable Spring Grove Heritage Foundation docents will share their extensive research on the famous beer families of Cincinnati.

Scheduled for Saturday, July 26th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, the ‘An Afternoon with the Beer Barons’ event will begin in the Spring Grove Rose Garden which is located just in the main entrance. Beers from Christian Moerlein, Madtree, Rhinegeist and other breweries will be available for sampling. Food will be provided by Funky’s catering and musical entertainment will be provided throughout the event.

The cost for this event is $40.00 per person and reservations are necessary. You must be 21 years old or older to attend. This will be strictly enforced. Use the link below to purchase your tickets.
