Local Brews & Blues is a craft beer tasting featuring all local breweries from the Tri-State! Enjoy an afternoon filled with craft beer, live music, food, and games!

This local craft beer tasting event will take place on June 10, 2017 from 2pm – 8pm on Newport on the Levee’s plaza.

Tickets are on sale now!
$30 in advance and $35 at the door.
-You will receive 18 tasting tickets and a 4oz. souvenier tasting mug. (Must be 21 or older; ID is required)

A portion of ticket sales will benefit The Brighton Center.

Both will be available on draft for snifters but no growler fills. Cans will NOT go out to distribution. Some draft will be sent out to retailers.”

Ludlow Wines – Saturday beer tasting is from 5:00-8:00 pm. The cost to taste four beers is $6.00 per person.

Midway Café – Midway District Pub Crawl on Saturday from 2:00-6:00 pm. From Facebook: “Let’s send the Olympics out in style. Tastings and Tappings Report: July 15, 2016

FESTIVALS

UPDATEBlue Point Toasted Tour – Saturday from 2:00-7:00 pm. Blue Point Brewery is bringing their boatyard to 317 E. 12th St. in Cincinnati. This event includes Blue Point beer, food from Django Western Tacos chef Josh Campbell, games plus music from Brother StarRace, THe Lighthouse & The Whaler and Givers. General Admission tickets are $5 and VIP tickets which include three beer tokens and Blue Point swag are $25. More information available at http://bluepointtoastedtour.com/cincinnati/

150th Anniversary Schützenfest at Kolping Cincinnati (10235 Mill Rd) – Today, tomorrow and Sunday. For more information, go to their website.

TASTINGS

Jungle Jim’s – Friday night tasting from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at both locations. Pints are usually $3. This week, it’s Alaskan Brewing at Fairfield and at Eastgate. While their wonderful Smoked Porter won’t be available yet, they will have their Amber, Kicker session IPA, Icy Bay IPA and Hypothermia American DIPA.

Party Source – $1 beer tastings on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 pm.

Party Town – For Friday Night Flights this week from 5:30-7:00 pm, they are pouring beers from Country Boy and West Sixth. This one be all draft and will feature several specialty one-off brews from both brewers. Full pours are $3.00 and include a complimentary pint glass for the first 72 attendees. It’s $2.00 for the regular sample flights. Only adults age 21 or more are admitted for Friday Night Flights. Limit of one sample per person. No shopping carts in the back room please.

Whole Foods Cincinnati – Cask & Cork: Beer and Wine every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. For $5, you get five sips and six bites. Tickets sold until 6:30 pm.

TAPPINGS and RELEASES

BC’s Bottle Lodge – Nowhere in Particular Tap Takeover today starting at 6:00 pm. Beers include Beat Your Wheat, BA Letters From the Underworld, Tangerine/Lime Berlin White, Blind Man’s Bluff with Cocoa & Vanilla in a Cask and a surprise keg.

Braxton Brewing – Tapping Trophy Dr. Rudi and the first beer in their new Beta IPA series tonight at 5:30 pm.

Ei8ht Ball Brewing – Tonight is Free Bacon Night and they will be pouring TBA.

OTHER

Blank Slate Brewing – Dutch’s Pop Up Dinner and Saison Pairing from 6:00-10:00 pm tonight. $5 per course or $12 for all three.

Monday, July 11st at 5:00 pm – Rare Keg Monday at Ei8ht Ball Brewing
This week, it’s two from Grimm – Subliminal Message and Super Spruce. The cost is $8 for a thirteen ounce tulip.

Monday, July 11st at 7:00 pm – Beer 101 at Washington Park
This month, the featured brewery is MadTree. From the Facebook event page: “Brady Duncan and Charlie Johangtes will be on hand to discuss the origins of MadTree, how the business has been managed through the rapid growth, and provide a sneak peak into MadTree 2.0 plans.”

Wednesday, July 13th from 5:00-8:00 pm – Zip’s Cafe Turns 90
Starting at 5:00, they will be pouring Deluxe, the collaborative pale ale they brewed with Rhinegeist. All of their other taps will have Rhinegeist beers too.

Wednesday, July 13th at 6:00 pm – July Beer Dinner at Moerlein Lager House
This month, the guest brewery is Warped Wing. The cost is $55 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Thursday, July 14th at 6:00-10:00 pm – Warped Wing Pig Roast at Django Western Taco
Beers include Space Food American IPA, Gamma Bomb IPA, Trotwood Lager, Cask 10 Ton Oatmeal Stout with Vanilla, Cappucino and Tiramisu. Cans: Ermals Belgium Cream Ale, Irreverent Red IPA, Self Starter Session IPA, Brass Punk Pilsner. Pig roast is $21.00 and includes a Warped Wing Pint Glass
