The Latest Major Shift in Cincinnati Beer Scene: Peanut Going to The Party Source

If change is the mark of a healthy beer scene, Cincinnati’s in pretty good shape. James ‘Peanut’ Kahles, longtime cellermaster at Dilly Cafe has announced that he’ll be leaving his longtime place behind the bar in Mariemont  to run the new beer bar being built as part of  The Party Source’s expansion. This is the second big hire Party Source beer department manager Danny Gold has pulled off. In January Mitch Dougherty left Rock Bottom to join Eight Ball Brewing as its first brewmaster.

Peanut expects to start at The Party Source the second week of July. Dates for the opening of the brewery and beer bar are forthcoming.
