Founded just over ten years ago, Southern Tier quickly caught the attention of craft beer hounds and has undergone two major expansions already, with a third in the works! Join our own Peanut and Bryon Martin of Premium Beverage Supply to explore the latest and greatest from this Lakewood, NY producer. Price: $25 per person, all inclusive. You’ll get a nice sample pour of all the beers offered (looks like there will be six!), and the kitchen will put out a nice hors d’oeuvres buffet that will match and complement the beers being served. Six drafts, six bites, $6. This week’s beers are Hoppin’ Frog Turbo Shandy, MadTree Happy Amber Ale, MadTree Brewing psycHOPathy IPA, MadTree Gnarly Brown, Old Dominion Double D Imperial IPA and Dark Horse Plead the Fifth Russian Imperial Stout.

Tuesday, April 16th at 6:30 pm – Highland Brewing Dinner at Mayberry

Mayberry Gastro Pub will feature a special prix fixe menu that’s perfect for foodies and discerning beer drinkers. For $50, guests will enjoy four courses and a selection of craft beers from Highland Brewing Company. Headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina, Highland Brewing Company is a craft brewery with a focus on sustainability and community outreach. The brewery is new to the Ohio area, and the owner will be on site during the event to help introduce their beer selection to the city of Cincinnati. Happy hour starts at 6:30 PM, and the first course will be served at 7:30 PM. Because of the prix-fixe nature of the menu, Mayberry Gastro Pub will only be taking reservations over the phone. We at PSL are excited to introduce yet another local brewery into the mix with Lore Brewing Company out of Danville, KY! Come on out and sample several of Lore’s incredible craft beers! We’ll have four Lore brews on tap and the awesome folks from Lore Brewery will be on hand to discuss their beers and hand out some cool Lore swag. $8 will get you a Lore Brewery pint glass and a flight of all four beers. $3 for additional pints. Just want to sample one or two? $4 pints also available.

Saturday, April 20th at 4:00 pm – Great Lakes Earth Day Celebration at Fries Café

Last year was too much fun for everyone and we are doing it again! Join us and the Great Lakes Brewing Company to celebrate Mother Earth with a party! Great Lakes will be taking over that draft for the day.
On tap will be Edmund Fitzgerald Porter, Alchemy Hour (double IPA 9.4%), Hop Madness (dry hopped, 7.5% abv, 80 IBU), Ohio City Oatmeal Stout, Rye of the Tiger Rye IPA (newest seasonal!), Burning River Pale Ale, Commodore Perry IPA, Edmund Fitzgerald Porter, Dortmunder Gold Lager, Eliot Ness Amber Lager, Rally Drum Red (modern American red). The outdoor grill will be open! And The Cereal Killers are back to play for us! They are such a fun band to see, don’t miss it! Such a great time will be had at Fries on 4/20!
